From the Principal

The Clyde Grammar Colour Run, which was held on the last day of Term 1, was a big hit. As well as raising funds for our school, it was a fun way to wrap up the term and bring everyone together.

Term 2 is now in full swing, and students are busy with their studies as well as enjoying some extra activities. Here is what has been happening so far:

  • Our Foundation students visited Myuna Farm.
  • Year 1 had a visit from Mr Slytherin and his creatures.
  • Year 2 took a walk to the Smiths Lane Community Hub to learn about the local area.
  • Year 3 explored Melbourne’s CBD as part of a Geography and Places Tour.
  • Years 3 and 4 had a blast at our Athletics Carnival at Casey Fields.

Coming up later this term, our top ten runners from Years 3 and 4 are competing in the District Cross Country event, and Year 4 students will be heading to Hastings for an immersion tour that will teach them some fascinating facts about the culture of First Nations people.

A reminder for parents that Term 2 is assessment time, so student attendance is crucial. Students should only be absent if they are too sick to attend school.

I would also like to say a big thank you to the PFC members for running another successful Mother’s Day stall. If you have considered joining, new members are always welcome and appreciated by the PFC.

The Clyde Grammar Consultative Committee also has vacancies to fill. If you are interested in finding out more about what the Committee does, please contact the school.

Our Parent Code of Conduct has recently been reviewed and can be found below. I urge everyone to take the time to become familiar with its content and expectations.

Warm regards,

Leanne Evans
